FIRMWARE DOWNLOADs

From time to time we release update files to enhance the capabilities of the products. These updates might be due to customer requests or after we find some incompatibility with a specific setup or to fix or mask issues presented by other devices in the network. Updates are generally to improve the overall compatibility. Sometimes updates are directed at a certain setup and others will gain no benefit from updating. Therefore, only update your unit if you are experiencing an issue that a given update is meant to address.

Update procedure is very simple. There are no drivers to install as the updater uses standard HID drivers already on your Windows computer. Follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Click the box below to download the relevant update file on your Windows based machine.
  2. Extract the full contents of the .zip package to any folder on your PC.
  3. Connect Product to your PC using the supplied USB micro cable.
  4.  Wait until the driver is automatically installed by Windows. There will be a notification on the lower right portion of the screen when ready. This takes a few seconds.
  5. Click the relevant updater -exe file and wait until the update is complete. The total time is around three minutes to complete.

SHARC V1 firmware

Version 1.60 Beta Changes:

  • Due to customer requests this version adds speed to the unmute process so the audio starts faster. There is a small increased probability to observe noise between PCM / bitstream switches depending on the AVR lock speed.
  • Added CEC features to improve compatibility for volume control for some audio systems
  • Improved tolerance for TV eARC “noise” while TV is in standby. Some TVs continue sending random data during idle periods.
  • Minor changes to eARC descriptors

Version 1.59 Changes:

  • Improved compatibility on power up condition for some TV models.
  • Modified MAT conversion routines

Version 1.57 Changes:

  • Some TVs started encoding PCM stereo from eARC resulting in mute condition on some receivers. This can happen e.g. when using TV internal apps such as YouTube stereo. Use DIP switch #1 in down position to support such encoding. Now also supports DD+ and Atmos in down -position.

ZONE-2 FIRMWARE

Version 1.21 Changes:

  • Many Sonos ARC users mention 5.1 eARC streams from some TVs are playing as 7.1 with disappearing surrounds. This version stream corrects this issue when DIP #4 is in down position.
  • Overall many framework improvements to cover various setups. Feedback requested to remove the beta status.

Version 1.19 Changes:

  • Improved compatibility on power up condition for some TV models.
  • Modified MAT conversion routines
